Things people never tell you...

Things people never tell you...

I have realized at 29 weeks that there are some things that people never mention to you as a warning when you are pregnant.

1. Pantyhose- doesn't matter that they make maternity pantyhose, because at this point who can even put them on.

2. Bathrooms- don't go in to regular public stalls, please use the handicap ones because otherwise you will find yourself (like I did) wedged between the door and the wall of the stall. The only way to avoid this is opening the door while standing on the toilet.

3. It doesn't matter in the end how healthy or little you eat, sometimes you will still gain more weight than you anticipate.

4. Everyone always has advice for you, whether you want to hear it or not, but no one ever offers advice on comebacks for rude and inconsiderate comments!

That is all for now...please add to this if you have any!

No one ever told me that I would suffer from insomnia, such to the point I am only getting 2-3 hours a sleep at night and still working full time. Can we say exhausted? And who said the 2nd trimester was the honeymoon phase?

1. Everyday things like tie-ing your shoes becomes a real project with a big belly in the way.
2. Sleeping can be very uncomfortable.
3. Always try to keep your bladder empty in case you have to sneeze, you don't want anything trickling out.
4. Being romantic with DH becomes a little challenging.

Shaving is a joke

Your feet will grow and stay that way.

Shaving has got to be the most challenging.

1. Smells will be much stronger to you and sometimes make you sick. Blah!
2. Its great when you go somewhere and there is a line for the bathroom. People see your belly and will let you cut.

Re: Things people never tell you...

shaving becomes a sport...
putting on socks or shoes requires two people..
in the winter you rarely button up your coat cuz ur so hot...
( I wore open toe sandles in Dec!..once I got to work)

your feet grow and DO not GO back
your boobs get bigger and dont always go back in size...and sometimes they just get LONGER

Which flavor toothpaste to use becomes a problem

OMG - yes, the feet growing. I can't fit in any of my shoes anymore! Ugghhh..... So does this give me an excuse to buy new ones??

ETA: and the shaving down there. Is it TMI if I say I need to use a mirror to make sure I haven't created something from Eward Scissorhands!!

Up until I swelled so badly that they refused to do it, I was getting waxed every 2 to 3 weeks. It was about 8 weeks between when I got too swollen and when Nicky was born. One of the first things I saw after he was out was that area and I was horrified!
