there are some checklists but bc with them bc not always accurate or EXACTLY how you have to do it. For example theknot has a checklist and so do many bridal magazines. But remember that New York is very different than other states so how we do things is very different, and those are for the whole US. For example vendors in new york book way more in advance than other states. You'll see '10 brides who call up vendors and find out that they are already booked, meanwhile the checklist would've had you wait even longer and if you wait until they say it then you are really limited to who you can use.

Other states also do NOT have catering halls like they have here, most get married at country clubs, restaurants and different type venues, there are places that have no catering halls like we do. SO their checklists will also be about buying alcohol, hiring separate caterer and many things that do not apply to us.

I say get the important things done first and then after do it in the order you want. Book Rh, Church, photo/dj. Then after whenever you want start booking limo's, florist, hair and make up. Dress also go about 8 months or more ahead of time bc depending on the designer it takes that long for the dress to come in and you also need to give yourself 6-8 weeks before the wedding to do alterations
