Re: Things to do before you get married
You get your marriage license from your Town Hall. You need to both go, bring your licenses, birth certificates and your SS#.
I'm going to get my passport after we get married so everything is in the same name. lol

for you HM, you should make your reservations in your OLD NAME and use your passport with your o;d name since you cant change your name until you get your original marriage certif AFTER the wedding

for you - i would wait to get your passport till after the wedding because you are taking a delayed honeymoon- as long as you have about 2 months to order your new passport you should be fine
but if you take a minimoon that ticket should be in your old name

That's what I'm doing. Our honeymoon is 2 mos after ours so I'm travelling under my married name since there's more than enough time to get the passport changed.
ETS: I just saw that you don't have any passport now. I'd check and see how long it will take before making any decisions. I think they can expedite it but for a fee.

I believe that it is free to change your name for the passport, you just need to fill out a form after you are married, so you could get it in your maiden name and then change it later.
