Things you love...

o.k.so i had an idea lets post things we love that happen at weddings....going from the guest point of view!

Could help in the long run of planning.....

I love...
monograms everywhere
enough seating at the cocktail hour for just about everyone
signature drinks
personalized guest books
something unique to the couple at the cocktail hour

your turn!

I love..
-Looking at the brides dress and the bridesmaid dresses Lol
-the food! very important
-Good Music that gets everyone dancing
-the decor..flowers, centerpieces etc..
-and i agree..something unique to the couple

I love....

When people show up to the church...

Flowers at the church...

When the groom cries....

I love high centerpieces...

I love Vienese Hour...

I Love chocolate fountain...

I love signiture drinks

I love when there is a TV posting all the photos the photographer took in the day...

I love when pets are incorporated....

I love when there is a big enough dance floor that you dont catch an elbow in the eye( this happen to me at my Sweet 16)

I love when everyone cooperates with the flower toss and with the garter toss....

I love:
Great food
Great music that keeps everyone dancing
Seeing the bride and groom having a great time
Seeing the special little details that they came up with for there special day

I love the way the bride and groom look at eachother.... it is the most amazing thing in the world, as if they are the only two in the room

I love looking at every single detail.... the flowers, the dresses, the bo-ks, etc...

It is funny b/c when our good friend got married on 777, we examined every last detail and said what we liked and what we didnt like.

Ok now for things you HATE!!


This is not directed at anyone...but

KNOW IT ALL BRIDES THAT THINK ONLY THEY HAVE THE BEST GOWN, WEDDINGm AND BLAH BLAH BLAH AND THE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THE SPLURGED ON THINGS...sorry had to just say what I hated wedding related!!

I also hate the over the top DJ the grinds with your Bridemaids...lol

I absolutely hate DJ's/MC's that never seem to shut up and are always like telling people to get up and dance and whatever else.... Not classy whatsoever.... I wanted to shoot the DJ at my cousins wedding... HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

Thats why I am strongly considering a Band..I also do not want to be embarressed by guests humping on the dance floor to hip hop like at my FSIL's wedding

In the beginning, I really wanted a band too... but FH is totally against it... He wants to songs to sound exactly the same and thats really hard to find with a band... so we compromised and said we'd have a dj that has live instrument accompaniment... Its pretty cool

and for what its worth, i agree with you... thats why were all here, instead of on The Knot! lol <333

I'm telling my DJ NOT to play hip-hop stuff etc..and i like hip-hop but only in my car or when i was 17-23..in a club lol..
you tell the DJ what you want! and if he doesn't play what you want then he's not a good DJ! you're paying him!

i also do not like give aways..like hats and glow stuff ...i do not want that at my wedding and i will make that very clear to my dj lol!..hope i dont sound to harsh

I love the first dance.... and the cake cutting....

I dont like when the bride changes into a different outfit or dress

really I am considering the last hour to change into a sexy little mini just for fun!!! But I am not sure...I mean I am going to be 22 when i get married so i want to put some young silly twists to it..but I do have 2 years to decide!!!

very true...see ive had bad DJ experiences My uncle was having financial trouble and he was a DJ so for my Sweet Sixteen we paid him to do it (also because I had to have a special cake) anyways he played the worst music ever and all i wanted to do was dance to Missy Elliots 'Work it' and he wouldnt play it....AHHH
