FH and I are thinking of doing the wedding the night before thanksgiving...can this be done in such a short period of time? Thinking it could be cheaper with vendors..but can I get a dress this quick?? Any thoughts, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can ! Have a friend who married last Thanksgiving eve- was great friends and family were in town for holiday and I hear she got a good deal on RH.

You definitely have enough time to plan, especially because it's a less popular date so many vendors will be available. I think it's a great day for a wedding!

Pull this off??! My FH and I jsut got engaged on April 15 (almost 3 weeks ago) and are planning an AUGUST 2010 wedding.... yes, that's FOUR MONTHS! You can totally do it!
My mom & I went dress shopping on Thursday ...ordered my DREAM DRESS on Friday ! I chose Bridesmaid dresses on yesterday and the girls need to order them by Tuesday so that they don't need to pay a $40 rush fee. And things are really coming along.
As for the actual wedding, we've narrowed our venue down to a few places and are working on that to have it done by THURSDAY!! Then i need to work double time to get SAVE THE DATES OUT and then choose invitations and get those ordered. Also, have to put a block of hotel rooms on hold.
After the venue is booked, I'll find a photographer (since Duet is unfortunately booked) we'll choose a DJ , get florist prices and then we'll get the boys' tuxes in order.
Last to think about would be the limos.
YOU CAN DO IT!!! CONGRATSSSSS! P.S. YES, it is wayyyy cheaper!!

id def say go for it!!! FH's cousin did the sunday after thanksgiving they got a whole package for like under 10,000.....like with flowers dj and all that stuff from the RH! also the friday after thanksgiving they looked into as well! i def think you can get great prices for around that time

you def can pull it off!! as long as your vendors are not booked up...
i found alot of stuff had to be done when we first got engaged, then it leveled off, and like 2 months before is when it picked up again!
you can do it! the dress wont be a problem, but you better start looking asap.

I am getting married 11/24/2010! It's been super affordable and I think you can def pull it off. Keep me posted if you do...then we'll have Date Twinssss!!!!
