I would ask them to let you include your vendors! How many people did you invite? How many said yes? I'm just curious if it was 20% like they say.. I'm not sure if you want strangers at your wedding but I have seen people ask for seat fillers on this website..

I was able to include vendors. I was also short a few people after that, so they through in some extras.

I'm having the same problem. My RSVP date isn't until next week but basically everyones RSVP-ed and I'm worried I will be short. My venue said they will use my vendors if needed but they urged me to try not to do this. How many people are your off by? I would just talk to your venue, I'm sure they will let you..

Re: Think we are not going to meet our Gurantee :(
You should be able to include your vendors.Sometimes house vendors are free.
Vendors are usually 1/2 price.

Re: Think we are not going to meet our Gurantee :(
I wouldnt worry yet. We thought we were going to be short then a lot of people said yes after the RSVP date, plus we thought of a few more people we should have invited and they were all delighted! We ended up over by about 10-15!

Yes, they definitely let you use vendors, I asked when we booked. Keep in mind that their house vendors are free, so they wouldn't count. How many did you invite?

Oh ok, then you can use them. As some of the other girls said, you'll probably get a lot of last minute responders.
OR, I can tell some of my guests there was a mix up with the invites and my wedding is the day before.....I have too many!!!

Don't worry I'm sure you will meet it. What is your min? I was freaking out too. I invited 180 and our min. was 110. We had 110 not including vendors so we cut it close. After our RSVP date, we were still waiting on people's response so my Mother in law called people on her side and personally invited them over the phone. They didn't care that they didn't get an invitation.

What is your minimum? After reading posts on this site many have stated people confirmed WAY after the deadline. Unless you minimum is 200 I wouldn't worry too much.

Do you have a B-List of people to invite? Did you expect that many No's?

I barely made my guarantee as well. my venue used 1 vendor towards my total bc i was so close (140 guarantee, i had 138). but they also charged us for all outside vendors (which i had like 6. In the end your most likely going to pay fo that gurentee. it just sucks with all the nos. Believe me i stressed out big time, even up to this week i am still stressing - i had 2 people drop off! I never knew people were so flakey when it came to weddings!

In my contract, we have written that vendors, teens/children, or even FH and I (because we are free) could be counted toward the total if need be. Those are some ideas you could look in to. Also, I've seen a lot on here that girls said they got some things thrown in because they didnt meet their minimum. Inquire about a vienesse hour, an ice cream sundae bar, extra cocktail food, or an upgraded bar, whatever is your style. Especially because your wedding is not exactly peak season, they might be willing to work with you. Also wait until after your RSVP date..I am throwing a baby shower right now and I got more RSVPs the two days after my date than I did the entire time before. People like to leave things to the last minute.

Yah I would see if you can include your vendors in your count but also see if they can give you a discount on your vendors like 50%. If you really try, your venue should work with you.My minimum is 175 and right now I am at 164 with only about 4 more people to RSVP. So I know I will not be making my minimum. I plan on calling my hall to work something out with them.
