Where are you looking to go? I always find good deals on www.travelzoo.com. If you looking for warm weather you could go to the DR all-inclusive for about $600. If weather isn't a priority, there are great deals to Europe for even less.

I am looking too, for our first anniversary. Something REALLY inexpensive. DH and I were thinking of going to the poconos and giving skiing another try. We went two years ago, had a great time, but were really sore by day 2. It was so cold there, but it was really nice cuddling up in our hotel room at the end of the night!! We stayed at Elk Mountain!!

Most of the Vegas specials they show are from California or Chicago. You would have to put in your city and travel dates to get a price from NY.
