I'm thinking of planning a Birthday party at our house for his birthday. His birthday is Dec 28th but I think I'll have it on the 29th which is a Saturday. I'm not sure if I should have it be a surprise or not. He'll be 24 years old. Do you think that would be cheesy?? Also what kind of things can I do or get that will make the party fun?? I'm thinking about having food catered. I don't feel like cooking for ~30 people.. I've never planned a party before so any advice is appreciated. I plan to buy all the liquor and beer myself. I plan to make invitations on VistaPrint...do I have to make thank you cards or give favors???? I'm clueless..Thanks!

Ooooo. I want to get him a cake that looks exactly like an Xbox360 or Playstation...Those are probably expensive though

Re: Thinking of planning a Birthday Party for my FH
I'm throwing a 30th birthday party for my FH on august 4th. There's really not that much that goes into it. To save money (and stress) I did an evite instead of regular invitations. We'll be ordering one of those giant hero/sub sandwiches, possibly 2 and we're getting a keg (our theme is old school, complete with beer pong tables). We're not having it at our house because it's just not big enough so we rented out a knighs of columbus for the night.

Re: Thinking of planning a Birthday Party for my FH
Cool! I need to keep it small and affordable. I plan to have only about 20-30 people, just our friends...no family. I want me, him and our friends to be able to drink and relax without worrying about mom, aunt, etc...
