I love this quote from Macy's considering that thier store ALWAYS looks like crap...how would they know whats new and whats not...it seems that everything gets thrown on the displays like its a $1 store anyway!!

See, nothing is guranteed, so I wash all undergarments before wearing.

DH and I watched that story on the news the other night. That is so nasty!!!
What I think is really funny though, was that they aired this story immediately after the VS fashion show they had on. I would have to think VS would be a little miffed about that!

That is sooooooo nasty. It surprised me so much, because some stores don't even let underwear/panties/thongs in the dressing room with you. I can't imagine a store even taking back underwear with no tags (or any clothes for that matter).

NASTY SOMEONE WOULOD RETURN THEM!!!!!

I would never wear any underwear without first washing them.....and this just proves my point!

i worked at victoria's secret for 5 or 6 years - and the employees are not the disgusting ones - it's the customers....people wouild bring new underwear into the fitting room, take off their OLD underwear, replace it with the new and leave the old underneath a pile of panties on the table.....then when i would clean the panty table (yes, that's what we called them) after closing, i would reach in and get a little surprise! TALK ABOUT GROSS!!!!!!
people would return used underwear all the time and since there is no policy about returning underwear, new or used, we would have to take it back. personally, i woudl wrap it in huge amounts of tissue paper and tape and write 'RETURNED' in huge letters on it - so that it would not get back onto the sales floor. and i would do it in front of the customer to show them how gross it is to ask someone to handle the underwear you've been wearing for the past year.

so, yes, i'm sure some of the employees are doing unsanitary things at some stores....but please dont' think it's the practice of all VS stores to do that! and please dont' think all VS employees do that!!!

you would be appalled by the stories i could tell you of the things customers did in that store......

and that, my friends, is why i always wash my underwear after i buy it!!
