Third Fitting With *Pics*

I was so much happier with my third fitting - some of you may remember that I was very unhappy after my second fitting.....well I bought a new slip which I brought with me to the fitting and boy does it make a world of difference - I LOVE how the dress lays with the new slip, its looks so much better - the only thing is that my hem has to be re-done because now its too short....

the seamstress fixed the bustle (which was totally uneven at the last fitting and i am pretty happy with how it came out).....the top of the dress fit me pretty well this time too - she told me she took it in a lot extra - and thank god she did because i lost weight

i'm not sure if its because of the boning or if its just the way wedding dresses fit but i wish that it was tighter around my bellybutton and ribs - i feel like the front panel sticks out as much as my boobs do from the side - the dress felt tight though - but i dont know, my shape looks very different in regular clothes - i feel like i dont look as curvy in my dress as i wanted to - from the profile i wanted my waist to look as tiny as it is - that way my boobs might look a little bigger sine i have 4 cups in there

i also got a veil - i tried some on just for the hell of it and my FMIL bought one for me - so now i can't change my mind about it i like it - i think that the design it in will match well with my vintage style jewelry and i think it looks nice around my shoulders and arms since the dress is very plain on top...im shocked because i was totally against beaded veils - so im hoping it goes well with everything i think it will though

there are still some things that need tweaking but its getting there and i feel A LOT better after this fitting....here are a few pics....

question...are u wearing a long line bra in addition to the cups or no?

my seamstress sewed cups in to keep the shape but said i needed the longline bra to keep the dress up...although i reallllly want to skip the long line cuz i think its messing up the shape on top.

Nicole it looks gorgeous. I am happy that you are happy with the fittings and you dont have to deal with the nightmares anymore. When is your final fitting?

I go back again on the 15th so she can re-do the hem - hopefully at that point i am happy with the buttons in the back - they are so sloppy looking and she keeps trying to fix it with hook and eyes but they still don't lay perfectly, but there has been an improvement.....also there is some bunching in the bodice that to me and my FMIL looks really sloppy and she is trying to fix it, its a combination of seeing the boning and the lining bunching up - those things are not the seamstresses fault, its the dress, the bunching and buttons were like that when the dress came in - so its not her fault that the designer made a crappy dress but she still should know how to fix it to make it look presentable...so that stuff she is still working on....so on the 15th i go back for the hem - i may need it to be taken in again but that will probably be my last fitting - hopefully everything goes ok....

i have a question - after your last fitting do you go back to try it on one more time before they press it? or is THAT visit considered your last fitting?

no bra, just cups.....but i think the boobage needs to be tweaked just a little.....i have no boobs so its hard - im hoping the wedding lines up with right before i get my period so they are at their fullest

Well remember I had ALOT of issues with my dress it was really really big and then they took in too much bc they used someone's measurements instead of mine-- So my last official fitting was 3 days before the wedding. Since they had messed up so much I wanted it to be that close so that I knew that it would be perfect and any last minute things they could fix. It was still a little big but at that point it was the best out of all the fittings so I took it. Within two days the dress was a little bigger so I had to pull it up towards the end of the night. Ask your seamstress if you can just make a 'just in case appointment' a couple of days before the wedding. They might say no, but since your weight has been fluctuating it might be worth to ask her.

ha that's my issue! im not super huge on top so the cups are supposed to help with that. i still think i need some tweaking.

i feel like the stupid long line bra is making me more shapeless and i want to just skip it but i dont want my dress to fall down. there is boning in my dress...and if u dont need it...and your dress stays up...im guessing mine should too.

im going in for the final/last fitting (hopefully) the sat before our wed wedding...so if all is PERFECT im supposed to leave with the dress for good. if not...there is still time to make a minor change and pick it up like a day or two before the wedding.

dont laugh - im trying to explain what i want different about my boobs - i feel like they don't have enough round shape - i want there to be a defined 'boob shape' - i think maybe under my boobs (well under the cups actually ) could be taken in more? as an example, i want to look more like the girl in that second photo i posted - although i know i can't look exactly like that because my boobs are not that big and my dress is different but i want more of shape, more of difference of where my boobs end, i feel like right now they just go into the waist, there is no definition of where my boobs end (if that makes any sense??) - i just feel like the cups are pushing out the dress too much and it needs to be cinched from my ribs to my bellybutton...or maybe its just the boning and the dress that make me look heavier than i really am in the tummy? does anyone see what i am saying? i just feel like my boobs look weird, i tried using paint to point out what i am talking about....

thanks girls, does anyone see what i mean with the boob thing? or am i crazy?
