Third Watch

If you are watching, do I detect that Cruz really does have a heart?

I can NOT believe there are only two episodes left. I thought this was an awesome one and can't wait to see what happens over the next two weeks. But knowing that it's ending has me so darn sad. I don't know why they are taking such a good show off of the air!! Darn NBC!!

Oh man, it's getting harder and harder to 'fill people in'! The plot keeps thickening, but I'll try.... please feel free to add/correct what I've written, I was a little sleepy last night!!!

OK, the show opened on a traffic jam...this weird pickup truck (with no plates!) starts ramming the back of a minivan with a couple and their teenage son in it. The van people are getting really nervous, and drive up on to the sidewalk to get away from the crazy truck man --- the crazy truck man follows them up onto the sidewalk, and continues to ram the van - directly into an intersection, where the van collides with Finney and Davis' squad car. Squad car flips over, and Finney is immediately knocked unconscious, but Davis is alert enough to see a man get out of the pickup truck with a SHOTGUN- the man goes up to the van, and shoots the driver and his wife point blank. He tells the son, 'Stevie', to run, 'cause 'he's free now'?...

Re: Third Watch

Finney and Davis are taken to the hospital, and Finney's EMT (somewhat GF - Grace? I think?) is not taking things too well, 'cause Finney is unconscious and bleeding on the brain. Davis just has a headache and a shoulder problem - he's in a sling.

After some detective work, Jelly and Yokas find out that the van was registered to a weird new cult-like church, and go to the address the van is registered to - they find 2 more dead bodies here, AND a pile of pics of naked kids involved in sex acts.

There's a kid (teen) hanging outside the building, with blood on his clothes. He's acting really weird, so Yokas takes him in and questions him. HE turns out to be 'Stevie' - the teen in the van who's parents were shot.

He tells Yokas of the church, and their strange form of 'love' (child sex) - it's obvious to everyone that it's some kind of weird cult thingy. Stevie tells Yokas that Tommy, 'The Annointed', is the one that shot his parents, and he plans to kill all the elders in the church.

Tommy is shown pushing the leader of the church into a live TV newsroom, with the gun to the guy, stating that he was going to get on the air, or people would die.

Re: Third Watch

Yokas' daughter Emily comes to the station to meet her Mom for lunch, but yet again, Faith has to run out to the scene, so lunch is cancelled.

Emily goes to the coffee shop where Dave/Dante the Vampire works, and he tells her that nobody treats her like she's special, her mother never makes time for her...etc. He invites her to club that night and tells her that she'll be the most special person there.

OK, so dumbass Emily GOES to the club. Dave/Dante is no longer dressed like a normal person - he's wearing all kinds of makeup and he's pierced and he's surrounded by all of his scary friends. He tells her that he's a sangunarian (sp!) - that he drinks human blood ....

She turns to leave, and he follows her out while she's waiting for a cab - calls her close-minded, and says that he thought she'd understand.

She tells him to 'Take off the friggen eyeliner and see a doctor!!!'

He yells, 'B!TCH!' after the cab pulls away.

Towards the end of the show...Emily is shown turning off the lights in the empty apt. she shares with her mother, and getting ready to go to bed.....

Dante and the freaks are WAITING OUTSIDE THE BUILDING and as soon as Emily turns out her lights, they start going in.

Scenes from next week show that Emily was kidnapped, and they show a knife to her throat...but no one knows where she is.

Re: Third Watch

Ok, on to Cruz.

Cruz, while cruising on the beat , tells her officer that she rides with (can't remember his name- Santiago?) that she's going to start chemo.

They get called to the scene of the van/truck thing, but they're really not focused on there.

They get ANOTHER call that there was a shooting in the gang areas that were big in the past months' epidsodes, and they rush there.

A few gangbanger teens and an old man are shot...the gangbanger teens tell the youngest one (not hurt) to RUN! Cruz chases him to find out what's going on - they run for a while, but he pulls a gun on her, so she fires ---- she is IMMEDIATELY grief-stricken, because she shot and killed a 13yr old kid (even though she was just following procedure).

Previews for next week said that 'an all out war is started on the precinct' --- I'm positive that it's gang related.

Re: Third Watch

Yokas tells the bossman about Bosco asking her to shoot for him....boss is pissed, because with all of the injuries, he NEEDS Bosco to be able to work.

Bosco is SUPERPISSED at Faith....

Boss tells her she did the right thing, she says, 'I know.'

On a side note, on the way to the scene of the van accident, in the ambulance, Carlos tells his female partner(Grace?) that he LOVES the other EMT (I realllllly can't remember her name, but it's the one that was realllly weird at first) - He says that he met her parents, and was introduced as her Amaaaaaazing BF....he says that if she thinks he's amazing, and he loves her, marriage is NOT out of the question... (wink, wink.)

Re: Third Watch

Sully is sitting at the desk answering phones (which are ringing off the hook, 'cause of all the activity) - I don't think he did anything wrong, I just think that he has no one to ride with.

Davis is worried about his injury getting in the way of him taking care of Sasha, who was released from the hospital only a day earlier.

OK - I think I came pretty close to getting everything.

Here's next week's preview from NBC.com:
TELEVISED HOSTAGE CRISIS DISTRACTS YOKAS FROM HER OWN DAUGHTER'S FIGHT FOR LIFE -- Detective Yokas tries to negotiate a peaceful ending to a televised hostage crisis where a young man Tommy threatens to kill his father who sexually abused children while heading a bizarre religious cult. All the while, unbeknownst to Yokas, her own daughter Emily is being held captive at home by a wannabe vampire Dante. Elsewhere: Cruz vows revenge when her partner Santiago is shot as payback in a deadly gang turf war; Carlos is frustrated in his attempts to propose to Levine, and Grace agonizes over a comatose Finney.

It really was a good episode.....
