Speaking of dance parties, what song are you and your fiance using for your first dance??

THIS BOARD IS TOO QUIET

I'm a 2015 bride crashing this one! This is so hard to figure out! So far I only know what we're going to announce the bridal party and enter the reception to, what we're doing during the cake cutting, and what I'm walking down the aisle to! We're entering to 'Get Ready' by the Temptations, and doing the cake cutting to 'You Are the Best Thing' by Ray LaMontagne. I'm interested in everyone's answers!

I have been thinking the same thing! Tooo quiet we lost so many brides there's only so many of us left. Can't believe 2014 will be over before we know it.

FH and I are doing Dave Matthews you and me

FH is a huge DMB fan and this will definitely be on our 'MUST play' list. Apparently our band leader also loves DMB. Still not sure of a first dance song. I feel like I want something 'classic'. We're both really into older music. We'll see! I'm waiting for an 'ah-ha' moment like I had with my dress, it hasn't hit yet.

My FH and i have been going back and forth like crazy about this, but i found one thats perfect! Marry Me by Train. I had to tell him to disregard the band and actually take a listen - he said it gave him goosebumps

This is our top choice so far :) I also love Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel or Everything by Michael Buble!

Also crashing! All these boards seem to be snoozing lately! LOOK ALIVE LADIES!!

Right now, our song is 'You Got What I Need' by Joshua Radin.. it's the song FH had playing when he proposed and we've always considered it 'our song' but thennn... I was watching Capture the Moment's videos on Vimeo, as I do on a regular basis because I'm a freak and one of the videos played 'You Are the Best Thing' by Ray LaMontagne and I had one of those ah-ha moments and could totally picture us dancing our first dance to it. So it's up in the air right now lol

I love You Are the Best Thing! Such a great song! You can do it for cake cutting or intros or something besides the first dance too if you decide to keep your original song for the first dance. I was looking at all the items our band asked us to put songs for and I decided it was a fun cake cutting song. Upbeat and it won't take too much time away from the fun of the dance party like a slow song would. I think it would be a great first dance song but FH doesn't really like newer music. Just the Way you Are by Billy Joel is a contender too for first dance for us. It just hasn't hit me yet. FH also loves 'Forever' by the Beach Boys, but everytime I hear it I hear Uncle Jesse singing it on Full House and I can't take it seriously!

First dance song...truly by Lionel Richie cuz it was the song he sung to me when he first said I love you so it's special to us..cake cutting song- I'll take you the candy shop by 50 cent..lol ..borriqua anthem is our entrance song for bride and groom

Ours was aerosmith I don't wanna miss a thing becaus f/h works like 50-60 hours a week, but we always keep in contact throughout the day because 'we dont wanna miss a thing

I was in love with 'if i didn't have you' and FH was like 'it reminds me of a death song.. too much death' LOL! but I still LOVE that song!!
