THIS centerpiece was $115. just to make some girls feel better

Our office Christmas party centerpeice was $115. done by Suzette Florals in NYC.

The accounting girl just told me. Can you believe that!?! I figured this would make a lot of girls feel better about the prices their getting on theirs!

Mine cost 85, and they were alot bigger then that one.

you would think that, but usually when my boss's wife has parties she pays around $500. for a table (not the office parties of course ::rolls eyes::) so this is a BREAK!

Plus can you imagine if the florist thought this was a wedding????

Anything with WEDDING attached is double the price!

Some florist charge for their name. I went to see a florist in Manhattan and you know for what they wanted to charge, you were only paying for their name.

Just like with Sylvia Weinstock cakes, are they worth it?? its up to the person that values her work. What one bride is willing to pay always comes down to who is doing the work and what the bride is willing to pay.

shamma- as usual, you are absolutely right. It's amazing what people will pay for the 'name' but not the quality.

I could care less if you have some Famous florist, (unless it's the one that did Jessica Simpson's centerpieces, those were beautiful ) ...but it will never cease to amaze what some are impressed by.......
