I had one of those mornings where nothing goes right....I took the day off due to clothing issues (and I needed a mental health day)....here I am cleaning my closet....I'm having a nervous breakdown....
Most likely no one will care but....at my heaviest I was a size 26/28 (most of my life)....I was down to a 10/12 after losing 120 lbs....I gained back about 60 lbsVERY quickly as I lost a lot of it due to not eating much and exercising a lot....well, I was losing, then I lost my dad and I gained....I'm finally dropping weight again but this beyond depressing....
I have TONS of nice AE, Gap, NY & Co. and Express clothes that wouldn't fit one of the dimples in my @ss right now.....they're all bagged up to give to charity....
Public Service Announcement: Cleaning out your close while being a fatty-boom-batty is VERY depressing.....

i know how that is--i DREAD cleaning out my closet cause i know i'll find those 'skinny' outfits (well i've never been skinny, what you know what i mean!) that don't fit anymore. its normal...don't feel so bad!

Awwww. Don't say that! If the clothes are still in style, why not box them up and save them for when you can fit into them again?
Trust me, I'm one size below the biggest I've ever been and really don't see myself taking any off. Unless I only eat 500 cals a day, this weight is not coming off. No matter how much I work out at the gym and bring my lunch and breakfast every day. Nothing works for me. I was super close to getting the lap band and chickened out.

Colleen. You are a beautiful girl! I thought you looked GREAT when I met you at the shower. Losing 120 pounds is an accomplishment and sometimes, slip-ups happen. Go back to the place where motivation to lose weight was so powerful and thrive on that. As soon as you frop that first pound or two, you'll be so motivated to keep it up!!!

I do realize that when I was at my skinniest (which I'm sure many don't even consider skinny) my hair was falling out and I was passing out left and right but damn....those are some tiny jeans starring back at me...

Don't be so hard on yourself. You have been through a lot and just to be able to say that at one point you did lose all of that weight is amazing. I've never broke more then 30 lbs, so you're already my idol. Why don't you keep your favorite item out of that pile of clothes and get it dry cleaned, hang it in your closet and let that be your inspiration. You'll get back to your goal, you just have to start putting yourself first again. You can do this

What a great accomplishment losing all of that weight. It's better for your to be healthy than passing out & fitting into skinny jeans. Keep up the good work and maintain a healthy lifestyle and you'll feel great! Enjoy your day off & get out of the closet- LOL!!!

Colleen, you are a beautiful girl, not a 'fatty-boom-batty' AT ALLl.
You have been through a lot so cut yourself a break. You WILL fit back into those clothes so keep them! You said your dropping weight again- its only a matter of time before you fit back into them.
Keep your head up

Don't get depressed. I know what you feel like. I had lost about 18lbs and went down 2-3 sizes and now i gained some weight back and my clothes are all tight on me. I decided that instead of going out and buying a new wardrobe i'll wear what i have and start on WW and exercising again. Don't worry. 120lbs is alot to lose and you should be so proud of yourself you did that. it's very hard for people.

don't be upset. If you lost the weight before you can do it again. And think of how great it will feel to buy a new wardrobe

You girls motivated me...while I'm still giving away 3 bags of clothes...I am keeping my favorite skinny jeans and a few shirts....but I need to get some of it out of here...it's overwhelming and depressing....
and if I lose more, I'll HAVE to go shopping if I have no clothes....
Thanks ladies...you helped a lot....

I am sorry you are having a bad day---but don't throw them away, you did it once, you can do it again---you will wear them and look great. I used to do the same things over clothes----I would cry if my FH wanted to go out and I didn't like how I looked in anything---it is hard, but it will get better

Sorry to hear your having a bad day
Just thought id share something in case it might be something to help you --
Ive suffered from compulsive overeating and have been up and down the scale alot in my life. The more years that went by the worse i felt - mostly b/c i felt out of control with it. My salvation with it has been a book that changed my life -- its called 'Overcoming Overeating' by Jane Hirschmann and Carol Hunter. Here is the amazon link to it in case your interested
