This ever happen to anyone else??

I just hung up with FH and had to shut my door and start crying, rather badly...i don't know how much more I can handle of the general BS with his family and just overall...

Is this normal??? I really feel like i'm losing my grip slowly...

I definetly hear you, 'wedding politics' really get to me and make me feel crazy. There is just SO MUCH bullsh!t that comes along with planning a wedding or planning anything for that matter. I'm going thru some stuff with my family right now about the wedding and it isn't really pleasant at all.

Feel better sweetie

Re: This ever happen to anyone else??

Side note - still crying...

It's really just EVERYTHING. My FH is sooooooooooooooooooooooo laid back to the point of letting things wait until the last second..and that won't work with wedding stuff. I've tried telling him this...

We HAVE to get this crap with his parents and the rehearsal dinner worked out now - so if it falls through - we have time to figure something out.. Our wedding is on a Sunday - so a rehearsal dinner on a Saturday night isn't the easiest thing ever...some places won't even let you do a private event on a saturday...

So - I told him - we have to go see them today, because they're retired and have a trailer they spend all their time at in PA - so they leave on Wednesday and who knows when they're coming back again...and by that time - we could've had things done & settled... If we're paying - i need to get it into the budget, do some math and see if we're okay...if we're paying - maybe I can ask my mom to host it at their house, etc....so there's all the nerves about that...

Then there's his bachelor party... When I tell you he and his friends are alcoholics - i kid you not (animal house type parties happened EVERY SINGLE DAY, no joke). My FH had a SEVERE problem when we met but he's improved sooooo much...everyone we know calls him either Frank the Tank from Old School or the main guy in Knocked Up... BUT - i don't care about that - i don't - drink, have fun...blah blah.. All i'm asking is that night - he come home to me...somewhere deep down in my heat i know he won't do anything, but as long as he comes home to me that night - i will SO not care about what he does.. But - his party is in philly and the cost of a limo to get him there, etc...is going to be a lot...so the 2 best men want rooms. I have explained my point to one of them (the one i'm closer to) and he gets it - it's just a money thing... So he's going to be taking crap for that and i feel badly about that...

No matter what decision we make, no matter what we do - there is always something/someone complaining about it... I just can't take it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm always the strong one - the one with it all together and i don't think i can take it anymore...

Another side note - I did want to elope - he wanted the wedding. I wanted a small wedding at Niagara Falls or vegas - he wanted all this...and i'm afraid i'm starting to get bitter and resentful...

Re: This ever happen to anyone else??

Just hung up again with FH and he heard me crying this time and said no matter what, for better or for worse - the BS with his family ends tonight. If we walk away from them not speaking to them again - so be it. If it can all be worked out - all the more better. I think it's finally hit a wall with him - 37 years of being second best is enough.. I told him he has to do most of the talking and he promised to do so...
