Ok so I work with this girl, her dream is to get engaged, get married and never work again.

She is dating this guy for around a year, shes 31 hes the same age. He bought her a ring (supposedly) and she DIDN'T LIKE IT and told him 'to save more money so it can be bigger.'

I can't figure out if this is a made up story to show everyone that he actually wants to marry her or if its true and hes still dating her for some strange reason.

If I was her guy and she said that to me, I'd be like oh so its about that and not about US!

I mean REALLY?! I don't see anything wrong with changing your setting or getting something you're happy with but SAYING NO and SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A BIGGER STONE?!?!? W*T*F?!

I should also add, I hate her!

Okay, let's just say for a moment that this skank is telling the truth. Do you really want to embarrass the man you love by telling everyone he gave you a tiny ring, and can't afford a bigger one?
And do you really want to embarrass yourself by announcing to the world that you are that shallow?

I think that she said the ring he gave her was like 2 carats, and she wants 3!
Everyone knows shes shallow, its not breaking news :)

I can imagine what she said about my ring, you know, since its HALF the size of what she wants. I was hoping she jumped out the window the day I came in engaged, but no such luck.

That is so obnoxious. I love love love my ring, but FH wants it to be bigger so he said when we can afford it he'll get me a bigger stone (which I so don't care about). BUT if i were to tell him no in the beginning and that I wanted a bigger stone, I think I'd be lucky if he ever asked again :-P

That's disgusting...first off, if I was given a 2 carat ring, I would have died, and said the OPPOSITE thing...you crazy bastid why did you spend all that money??? But to say buy me a 3 carat??? Can you say gaudy? (No offense to any ladies who might have a large stone such as that, but I find them to be a little overpowering and ostentatious).

That is just really sad. An engagement should be about two people and two people alone. She is obviously pretty concerned with what everyone else thinks. I love how people do that because they think it makes everyone else think they are some special princess...when instead it inspires threads where we all make fun of her and call her nasty names. I think her plan backfired.

Haha, it would be one thing if she was shallow OR dumb but to be both....

I just don't understand. And everytime she does something that I think she might've turned around, NOPE! Shes also like completely anorexic and taking DIET pills (she literally weighs 125 lbs), and has that WHINY voice where she drags out every word...

Can I keep going?? This is like therapy.
