This has been a stressed filled weekend...

I just want to thank all of you for your support and suggestions. You've been so helpful. After tons of research, etc. we decided to just go along with what we've been planning for the last 9 months. I need to stop stressing about it and do what we can now, and really worry about when the time comes. Seriously though, weddings now a days cost way too much! I know it only happens once, but it is only a few hours. Like someone else said... I'd rather save the money and spend it on other necessities like cars, and a house so we can get started with a family. Anyway our next trip to LI is this Christmas to book our last few major vendors. Anyway, thanks again for all your help! :)

Which vendors do you plan to meet with.

Maybe some of us can give you some pointers. Definately call Burton's Flowers. They are great and not expensive. They only do weddings so you are not paying for some fancy showroom. I cannot believe what I am getting for the price. Also, make sure you negioate with the vendors. You can ask them for less hours of service or more for the money etc.. I did with each vendor, except for my flowers because the price was so good. Don't worry. I am glad that you made a decision about your wedding. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.!

All we have left to do is book a Florist, the limos, and our honeymoon. We're definitely meeting with James Cress. Burton's Flowers... Where are they located? Do they have a website? What are you getting and how much is it costing you? I would need someone in Suffolk County though.

Flowers

I don't know if you (or anyone else)would be interested but if you wanted artificial arrangements, Bed Bath and Beyond has roses in topiary type arrangements in pretty pots on sale for $14.99 each. They are very pretty and have different colors. There are different styles and I have seen them for twice this price.

James Crest is a very expensive flower shop. I do not know that I would recommend meeting them. James Crest is located in Smithtown on Main Street. Burton's is on Rt. 110 in Melville, across from the Huntington Mall (big Barnes & Noble and Buy Buy Baby is in the shopping center). I am getting A LOT of flowers for under $1700. I know you will not need 1/2 as many since I have 8 BMs, 3 Moms, 12 tables plus tons of other stuff. Check out Burton's first. Then try a local Florist. James Crest does nice work but you will pay tons for it.
