This is a long shot...

But does ANYONE know where I can find cheap caramel apples? I need like 80 of them. I was thinking of doing them on my own, but I can just see myself covered in caramel.

I know they're in the supermarket now. My mother loves those and bought three the other day. Can you get them there or were you looking for somewhere else?

Yes and no. I called around to see how much the apples themselves would cost me. Not bad, $50 for about 80 apples. But I wouldnt know the first thing about the caramel dipping.

Last year a girl on weddingchannel gave them as favors, and she bought them from bj's for some insanely cheap amount. Maybe you could call around to wholesale clubs (if you or someone you know has a membership).

Re: This is a long shot...

I would guess they have them in boxes of 6 or 8 and then you could just get cellophane and wrap them individually. The only ones I've seen so far have been in department stores and they are $$$.

ETS: the cheapest I've found on the web are $3.75 each. I think Costco may be your best bet to do it econimically.

I just got off the phone with someone @ BJ's in Farmingdale and they said to call back tomorrow and speak with some merchandise manager and he could help me. they are caramel not candy, but she said they have a bunch so if i just wanted to come in and look and buy whatever they have. i wonder if there is a volum discount

it's a great favor idea----i was actually thinking to do it as people are leaving--and they can take one on the way out---we are doing big bottles of apple sparkler in wine organza bags as favors--thought the apples would go great!

I am having candy apples (not caramel) as my favor. We are getting them from Heavenly Confections in Lindenhurst. Im sure other candy stores will make them for you. I think we are paying $1 or $2 for each and they are wrapping them for us.
