Well, I like to be there for my friends...I'm not sure about getting embroiled in their battles though...I don't think intimidation makes for an fair fight...

I don't think it's a question of loyalty really...
I don't think it has much to do with loyalty either. Maybe it's more stepping in when you're needed, but not sticking your nose where it doesn't belong?

i think a true friend wouldn't look upon it as 'sticking your nose where it doesn't belong'...like marymoon said, it's more like, mess you my friend, mess with me, type of mentality. being loyal to your friend.

I agree with Marymoon on this ...
My friends are like family to me.. I DO know they can defend themselves 99% of the time, but I do take offensive on their behalf and wil step in where needed if they are being effed with .. and I don't think my friends would mind, in fact I think that they'd appreciate it!
Espeically in cases where they are not around to defend themselves, then no doubt I step up on their behalf!

Yeah, but sometimes that doesn't help your friend out much...Would you also stick up for your friend if you actually disagreed with their stance on the argument??

I would like to choose other as my answer Because I am very loyal and will stick up for my friends when they are in a corner. But if I don't agree, I try to be the mediator. If I do agree I come out in full attack mode.

This is probably me too. I'm more often than not the mediator, I'm very non-confrontational...but I don't think that just because I'm probably not going to fight to the death that means I'm turning my back on my friends...
