This is DUMB! I just emailed 300 people

300 (actually a little more but who cares?)
And why would I do something so mean? Because somebody decided it was annoying that I changed my name.
There were 3 Veronica's in my company worldwide who had the same last name. Starting with O.
1. The Uruguay girl - the original V. Doesn't even use Veronica, she goes by 'Maria'. No middle initial. Handles small commerical insurance accounts.
2. The Puerto Rican - Mrs Rosado please, V. Her email is [email protected]. She handles personal lines accounts.
3. There was me. The Big V. Must use my middle initial N as there was already a [email protected]. I handle International business in over 50 countries.
So changing my name made me the ORIGINAL Veronica 'new name', no middle initial. I changed it when I got back from my honeymoon, so we're talking mid-Nov.
Got an email saying 'Three people with same name' from some way up IT person (clueless) who says she's been working to 'resolve' this with the other two Veronica O's and just found out there was one in NY!![]()
(should I mention SHE WORKS HERE TOO! ![]()

She believes that 'The Veronica who recently changed her name did not correctly notify her contacts' and suggested I add a line to my emails that says I changed my name (oooh REALLY I would have never thought of that! DUH!).
So I said I would officially notify my 'contacts' who are ALL company employees ANYWAY and can CLEARLY see they aren't emailing NYC when they put my name in the lotus notes address line.
ALL 300 plus folks got a very nice email from me, which I am sure all but 30 will ignore or have a good laugh at. And the genius who thinks I didn't do my job properly and that notifying the contacts will solve it, was CC'ed.
This solves nothing.
