This is harder than I thought

I am attempting to make a list for STD's, but I can't decide who to send them too. I want to send to OOT guests as well as close family and friends. Do I really need to send to everyone?

You def. don't have to send to everyone...I personally did...but I did DIY and I was proud to show them off...LOL

i did too and im actually regretting it now, as there are 2 people that i want to uninvite but i cant

I think it's best to send to everyone, that way no one thinks they were on the b-list

I don't think you have to send one to everyone - just to the people who you don't have the opportunity to speak personally to about your wedding plans or who may need advance notice in order to make sure they can make it.

we decided that we're only going to send std's to the people who we really want to have there. i know it sounds horrible, but it will give those extras less of an opportunity to be able to come

i know i know that's horrible but it's only going out to family and a few others

do yourself a favor just sent it out to OOT guest number one then maybe close family but THAT IS IT!!!! I regret sending to the few friends I did send them too because things change. FH wanted tos end some to his really close coworkers originally and I talked him out of that THANK GOD since we might not invite them at all.

I sent to everyone b/c I got them free from vistaprint, but you dont have to.

I think it's a good idea to send to close family and friends and OOT guests. I want to send the hotel info along with them.

I hope you don't mind hearing from an '07er but here's what I did which would be less expensive and also maybe get you off the hook as to whom to send to. maybe the lead time won't be enough for you but I enclosed a special little note in my Christmas cards saying . . since last we were in touch the wedding date's been set to x/x/x.
Now on the people you definitely know you are inviting you can add 'save that date!'; on the others just leave it up in the air. They will know you are getting married but you did not actually invite them.
I think I actually only sent to those I knew I was inviting but you could probably announce it to the others without a problem.

i just say be careful and make sure that everyone you send one to is invited to the wedding. I went to a wedding this summer where the couple sent out save the dates then they had to cut back on people. some people who got save the dates didn't get invites and they showed up at the wedding thinking that the save the dates were their invites.
