This is NOT good-dad in hospital

My dad was just sent to the ER after difficulty breathing followed by a bad chest x-ray (he has a one-sided pleural effusion). I've been on his case forever and knew something was wrong. I went to medical school (I'm an MD/PhD student) for 2 years so my mind is going crazy. And I have been right every time...

All I keep thinking is will he be at my wedding?! Our best man's dad just had a similar set of symptoms and died within a few weeks from metastatic cancer. oh my god oh my god....

I also know what it feels to have to pray and keep fingers crossed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks! I've never seen so many of those hug things before!

I know it's real strange...my dad has been old and dying ever since I was born. (he was 51 when I was born) And I always thought he was old and crabby. This better be another one of those things...

He always comments about how he is to old for this and our engagement is so long that he'll be gone by then. He was not kidding and I wrote him off as crazy. Not funny anymore.

For the first time in his 80 years...he's in the hospital overnight. I am now in a full panic.

I am so sorry to hear this. I feel so many people are going through some tough times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I to had bad news today about my mom and bone marrow test results. Waiting for more answers myself. Hang in there! No sense stressing till you have more answers. (as I try to remind myself) Hopefully he will be fine.
