This is not My Big Fat Black Wedding!!!

Now Really... Why do people insist on adding people on to their RSVPs when I only put their name on the envelop. Really people. This is not My Big Fat Black Wedding. I just had a family member who I have not seen in year put 4 people on the RSVP. WHY???? I am so nervous because people who I did not think would come and people who my mom insured me that they would not come are coming. I am going to be well over my numbers. My young cousins are talking about bring dates. This is not Thanksgiving- were you could bring any and everybody. This is a wedding. Really people.....

I feel bad because I may have to tell them they can't bring extra people... but their family. Everyone is so excited about this wedding. It's the first wedding in a very very long time.

I feel for you ~ I have had the same thing happen ~ hellllo does anyone read there invitation ~ people are writing there kids in when there child is not invited ~ I only wanted the bridal party children there and now it seems like it is going to be different!

I am going through the same exact thing, people my parents told me to invite and that they weren't coming, ARE NOW COMING! And everyone wants a plus 1. Sorry I am not giving you a plus one so you can find some random date and bring to my wedding.

Tough situation..however, they have to respect your guest list. Don't be afraid to tell them that only the people on the invite are actually invited..and for those who ask why, tell them that your room holds a certain number and that's it...you've maxed out and have to keep it really close family and friends. That's always an easy way out! lol Good luck : )

I'm so sorry this is hapening to you but your subject line made me giggle!

You need to be firm with these people and tell them you don't have the $$$ to pay for all these extra guests!

Thanks Ladies, I just told several people today at my shower they could not bring dates. They were okay with that. But still if I did not put +1 it means only you... Why must I have to explain that.
