Things like that really piss me off. If I had 'extra' money to give, it certainly wouldn't be to her. She is hardly a worthy cause.
If I were part of her 'cast' i would tell her that there is no way in the world I want my picture on the internet relating to her begging.
DISGUSTING!!!
There are starving children, people dying from diseases and countless other terrible things happening in this world and she wants me to feel sympathy and donate to her????? GET REAL LADY!
I wonder if she or her FH thought of this. They both must be creeps.

Re: This is pretty bad....
Oh who cares about the girl behind the site. Her friend needs a date! Could be robe guy's long lost cousin
Here are his interests: Has lived in Chicago, Mobile, and Washington, D.C. Moved to Orlando, FL in 2002 in search of better weather and to be closer to the sunny beaches Has annual passes for every theme park from Orlando to Tampa (NOW THAT IS A KEEPER) Goes to Mardi Gras every year Never misses his annual Carnival Cruise Is always looking for the next adventure Loves animals
Keith is a humorous, laid back, adorable, fun, intelligent, well-rounded kind of guy, except he's a bit shy in the dating department. If you think you're worthy of Keith's attention, and would like to be his date to my wedding on April 16, 2004 in Florida, e-mail him at [email protected] His hotel room is right on the beach!

Re: This is pretty bad....
I think this was my favorite part
At 18 years old, I married my high school sweetheart. The marriage didn't last long, and the wedding was a big blur. How special can a day be when your 18 year old friends don't have money to pay for gas, let alone buy you a wedding gift? It was pretty lame.
For anyone that would like to attend this wedding, you could go with her friend Keith who needs a date

OK what's more embarassing: asking for donations to your wedding or asking for a date to the wedding?
pathetic!

I remember another site similar to this not too long ago... a girl was asking for people to donate money to help pay for breast implants... and they DID! Must have been the guys...

Re: This is pretty bad....
that is terrible to do!! I can't believe someone would do that!! I hope she can't have her wedding of her dreams!! Why can't she work like all of us and pay for what we can afford!! I thought it was pretty funny when u look on her wedsite and she gives u her break down on everything!! She must be really hurting for money when she spends more money on the gifts for her party then she does on everything else!! She is crazy!!

This is so pathetic its unbelievable!
Maybe someone should have sacraficed alittle and not gone to SPain in search of a bottle of wine! Maybe someone should learn the value of a dollar and take responsibility for her actions instead of expecting others to bail her out....strangers at that!!!
I agree with who ever wanted to email her! It took alot for me not to!

Re: This is pretty bad....
She (Cynthia) posted all over theknot.com local boards with this:
Topic: www.payforcynthiaswedding.com From: CynthiaW Date: 1/13/2004 at 9:58 am
Hey, need a cool idea to raise funds to pay for the big day? My fiance and I decided to ask total strangers! Check out our website www.payforcynthiaswedding.com, and tell all your friends.
Thanks, Cynthia
She was ACTUALLY PROMOTING it as a way for all of us to pay for our weddings too! How sweet.

I like this too Send Cynthia & Paul a wedding gift! They're in the process of buying a new house that will need lots of landscaping and decorating, which means lots of trips to Lowes and Home Depot! If you're not into giving cash, send a gift certificate! P.O. BOX to come soon! You're buying a house but looking for handouts? WTF? And, I also like bachelor/ett parties listed on the budget for $500, attendant gifts $750, shipping of invites $250, rental of a beach house $3,000, rehearsal dinner $500, day after wedding brunch$750, and other unnecessary things. What about 'miscellaneous expenses' $2,500?! That's on top of the miscellaneous expenses she listed in every category. I should donate to your miscellaneous expenses? Hello, I have miscellaneous expenses of my own, thank you! Another thing that burned me was how she had to talk about her expensive tastes, and traveling. Why should I feel bad for her? Also, I like the ad to buy her dress after the wedding, it retails for over $900 (she forgets to mention that she only paid $438) People have some nerve....

Re: This is pretty bad....
that is horrible
But being devils advocate - you could say no matter how horrible it is IF anyone gives her money she got what she wanted - and she had the balls to do something that got her some money - even if it is a disgusting way to do it

Re: This is pretty bad....I emailed her and got a reply
I showed my friend she said 'sure I'll send her a check...A REALITY CHECK'.
YOu know if it was something like 'we are planning a wedding and we both got laid off' or he got sick and they couldn't pay bills or something, then I could understand it more. But they lived the high life (hope they got that damn bottle of vino) and then are spending over the top amounts on attendant gifts...and extras like makeup and brunch the next day...and I think they're paying for the accomodations for their own guests...then it's like 'yeah in your dreams'. And now they want us to buy their house? Get real.
I actually e-mailed her asking how much she got so far.
Here's her reply. What an ignorant person.
None yet, but it's only been one whole day. Most of the visitors are enraged brides-to-be from theknot, who would rather receive money for their weddings than give. Oh well, bad publicity is better than no publicity! I'll just stay positive and keep my fingers crossed. If it doesn't work out, no harm done.

This girl is a leech, sucking off of others, and the saddest part is.....apparently she doesn't have any shame at all about it.
April 16th is my birthday.......these assholes are ruining a sacred day! (just kidding :-P)
