this is so sad that its now just funny

I saw a thread on BHB about wedding budget so it made me think of mine - esp that yesterday I was talking to my BM of what our final balance is .

our budget used to be 25K, now we are like 10K over it and still going strong

sorry now this makes me just laugh hehe

I blame myself for not researching enough when setting the budget of what exactly is involved in wedding planning, and part I blame LIW - opened my eyes to soooo many cute things

who else 'over planned' as I did? lol

we definitely went way over what we originally estimated. but i know it's cause we didn't know how much things would cost when we first started planning!

We did pretty good, considering all ... we're still over-budget, but 'only' by about $3k ...

wow, when else will i EVER say 'only $3000'...?!??!!

i was pretty good about not adding things that i wouldn't have thought to add pre-LIW. I think. I don't know. I'm so disorganized!

We definitely went over budget but I think we are still doing pretty well all things considered. LIW is a huge factor in the overages...just couldn't resist some of the 'cute things'. I'm not sure where we will stand at the end but I am keeping a running list of every penny. Just really curious as to where we wind up. When my FH saw the list, which I keep right next to the computer, he wrote on the bottom....Marrying Paul, Priceless. At least he can laugh about it!

same here! my spreadsheet hasn't been updated in months bc we're so far over that i don't even want to see exactly how far.

when i came home from work last Fri, i opened the door to find FH sitting on the couch with my pink wedding binder on his lap going through all our contracts and updating our spreadsheet. it was so funny to see him sitting there like that and he was definitely stressed out lol.

that is funny!

my FH has no idea what is going on - I am the CFO. I give him monthly updates, but he prefers to know as little as possible hahaha

My fh doesn't know when to say NO. Esp. when he is influenced. I have blocked the wedding channel and told his mom no more wedding talk...

i have no idea how much wedding costs when we started planning so we outgrew our budget.

My husband and I were shooting for a small reception with a 4hour buffet, small d.i.y centerpieces, etc. Before I knew it I was pretty much getting the full blown wedding reception with a 5hour sit down, big floral centerpieces and everything lol.
