light blue card stock folded and then white card stock glued on top.
print all the white ones on a full sheet 8x11 and then cut them to size

That sounds easy enough! How big should the piece of light blue cardstock be??
I'm thinking that for the white cardstock, I'll set up my Word document to make 'labels' so that they're the right size.

You could probably even get sticker paper for the white, then you can just cut and peel... You can find some really nice weight sticker paper these days. Personally I would do the red 4 1/2 inches (folded to 2 1/4) But I think it all just depends on what size you want.

Is it a 4 1/2' x 4 1/2' square? I'm looking on the paperandmore.com website, and they can custom cut paper to the size that you want. Knowing how spastic I am with the paper cutter at work, this is probably the best option for me. . .hehe.

I would score the cardstock before you fold it though or else you'll get weird wrinkley creases.
To score, cut out the square in the size that you want so it'll be big enough when you fold it over. Then run a razor lightly over where you want the crease to be with a ruler (don't cut the paper all the way through - it takes a bit of practice!). Then it's easier to fold and you get a cleaner crease.

. . .and I just cut 4 1/2' x 4 1/2' squares out of paper to visualize the size. That's exactly the size that I want!!!
Where can I find heavyweight sticker paper? Michaels? I'm down the block and around the corner from a Michaels, so I could even stop there after school.
Does Michaels also cut paper for you? If they do, I don't have to order it online pre-cut; I can get it done immediately.
Sorry for all of the questions. I'm not typically a DIY girl, but after coming onto this site, I really want to try it!!!

The sell scoring tools in micheals or ac moore... OR cheaper alternative is you can use the back of a butter knife. Don't really recommend the razor...It works but it has the potential for mishaps. Also when you score it score it on the back not the front.

You can try michaels or even staples has some nice sticker paper... I dont think michaels cuts to size... But if you didnt want to pay to have it done staples sells little slicers that make it easy for you to cut things straight... the one I have is called a 'personal rotarary trimmer' You would be surprised how much it comes in handy for other things! I think I paid 15 bucks for it. I use it for everything!
