So my mom and step-dad have a tradition that they watch their wedding video every year for their anniversary. I just finished watching it with them. I am fully aware of the cost of having a videographer and I do feel fortunate that we were able to work it into our budget. But there is a reason why I think every couple should consider working it into their budget. While you can put a price on the video itself, you cannot put a price on the memories it leaves you with. Numerous family members who were captured enjoying life in the video are no longer with us. The emotions and memories brought on by watching that video is priceless. So I really think every couple should consider spending that little bit extra to have these captured moments for the future, when you can no longer see or hear these beloved people. I truly believe a video captures something special that photographs simply cannot.

THIS is why you MUST get a video
I totally agree. We were just watching my parents video and its nice to see people on there who are no longer with us. So much better then just looking at a photo.

Yes! At first we didn't want one..then we saw some great work. Now I talk to people who didn't have a videograher and they totally regret it!!

I always wanted one. Mostly because my parents had a family member film their wedding in 1968! It was great seeing my parents mannerisms when they were my age. Much different than looking through old pictures.
lol Thanks! I'll definitely look into it. FH and I were talking about it last night and he's like 'You went on and on about how much we don't need the video... and now you just want one because everyone else has it!' He's not entirely wrong lol.
Then he also started going on about how we would also have to keep updating the systems (from dvd to blue ray to whatever comes next). He's such a techie so that doesnt shock me that he said that lol He's such a butthead

Sounds JUST like my FH! Nerd alert! The whole process he's been saying I only want what others have, but I told him when he does the planning he can decide and that shut him right up ;)

Well at least you would have it on some format. My parents had it on 8mm, then transfered it to VHS, and are now transfering it to DVD.
