This isn't really a TTC question, but I thought you all might know...

This isn't really a TTC question, but I thought you all might know...

Anyone have spotting in between periods while they're on the pill??

this has been going on for months now - Pretty much ever since I moved to the UK and switched to a pill that is supposed to be the same exact dosage as the one I was taking in the States. I thought at first it was just due to me screwing up (there are always at least a few days in a month where I'm and hour or more late taking the pill in the morning or a day where I've accidentally forgotten), but I've been almost saint-like in taking it this month and there's still spotting

So, I'm thinking that maybe my pill isn't strong enough...but it's been almost a year and I haven't gotten pregnant...anyone know what could be wrong? I'm most worried that something is wrong with either me or DH and that when it is time to TTC, we'll have problems...

Anyone have problems with this? Please help!

I would check with your doctor but when I started taking Micronor aka the mini pill I had spotting for the first few months. I was told it is a normal side effect.

Micronor is a progesterone only pill.

I had the same problem for months...for me it was because the pill was not strong enough. It was the generic version of the pill that I used to take...instead of the name brand (which was more $$) I had to go back to the name brand. Typically you have breakthrough bleeding when the pill isn't strong enough and doesn't have enough estrogen in it. TO fix my problem my OBGYN put me on a stronger pill and no problems after that.

The only time that has ever happened to me was when I had an early miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy... after the chemical I said screw these pills and here I am pregnant!

That happened to me while I was on the patch. I never got a real explanation why this happens to some women. Anyway I switched to OTC-Lo and haven't had any problems since.

It's happened to me.

First, I was guilty of not taking the pill consistently at the same time (shame on me). The doctor said it was screwing with my system.

Then I switched and the dosage was too low. I'd talk to your doctor about it!

The same thing is happening to me right now on Orth-tri-cyclen Lo. I was having mood swings with regular Ortho-tri-cyclen. Now my Dr. wants to switch me to Ovcon-35, which has the same strength pills every day. I don't know if this one is going to work.
