I could see getting 'over' it, if you have a lot of drama throughout the process.

I guess its all exciting in the beginning but i see where we could possibly run out of steam........

there are alot of decisions, planning, getting people together, arranging for times, places and things to get done, and oh wait, not to be forgotten a way to pay for it all.

I guess if we plan well, we may not feel that way but i can see how these girls do feel that way.

But yes i agree with you.....I hope not!

I think everyone is going to go through points during the planning process where it gets extremely overwhelming, emotions run high, and you just want to say screw it all (especially when you slowly start to realize how much money everything costs!).

But i think if you are well organized, plan to get annoying little projects out of the way ahead of time so that you are not driving yourself crazy toward the end, you have a better chance of not feeling so defeated and over it in that last 2 months or weeks befroe the wedding. Also, just trying to steer clear of the negative energy may help (like anyone or any situation you feel might put you in a crappy mood or cause you problems on top of you having to deal with everything else WR).

Here's hoping it doesn't get to crazy at the end!

good point jessie...gotta get the annoying stuff out of the way early so it doesn't bog you down in the final days when stress and emotions are running high.

fingers crossed that we don't all go nuts!!

Its all relative... The problem with the weeks leading up to the wedding are

1. that you've had to deal with RSVP's not coming in... and having to harrass people to get an answer...

2. you have to give a shyt load of money to all your vendors...

3. the last minute things, like programs, place cards, seating charts, alterations, etc...

4. and the constant questions, are you nervous, how do you feel, are you ok?

Its hard for anyone to deal with it... im a fairly calm person in general and I got snippy with a guy at work that asked me the same question every day, 5 times a day...

Shaun and i got into a lot of arguments with around 2 weeks to go...

We vent about the bad things here but there are tons of good things during that time...

i knew the RSVPs would be an issue, and i'm NOT looking forward to that. i didn't even think about the constant questioning though...that would probably drive me nuts lol. it's good to hear from girls who are going through it now what to expect

I think that only happens if u wanna do it all at once! Stress can make u hate anything. The best solution is take ur time, of course u're not gonna wake 'til the last minute to do everything, but one thing at a time is much better so u can really enjoy every single step in the planning process

this I have to say might be the one thing that will esp. make me crazy. I'll never ever understand what is so damn hard about sending back a pre-stamped and addressed RSVP card on time. What is so hard about checking off a box, sealing the envelope and dropping it off at your nearest mailbox? Not rocket science people!

Ohhhhhhh I will stalk people like it's my job to get those RSVP's back when I want them. They should all have learned that from the engagement party.

I think it depends on a lot of factors. It's not like that for everyone. I think the more pressure you put on the day to be perfect, the more stressed you'll be and the more you let external forces get to you (in laws, parents, bridemaids, RSVP's) the more frustrated you'll be.

You need to control your own process and be very zen about stuff. Girls who are control freaks will probably have more tendency to feel that way, so let it roll, KWIM?

Everyone in my life thinks I am so crazy for booking stuff now.
This is EXACTLY why. I want to start paying things now, so its not $$$$$$$$ all at one time, I want to only worry about minor details when it gets close to the wedding.

This I'm sure happens to everyone, planning ahead or not. But I hope to alleviate some stress buy checking things off my list a year in advance.

I totally agree. I think all the decision making, the money spending, the arguing with parents, arguing with FH, spending money and still trying to have a normal life and deal with normal stress and everyday problems, all this planning can just get to you, esp towards the end. The wedding is the best part, its just getting to it thats a bit stressful.

Re: this made me sad

Also I think its the stress of a big event that gets to brides. I have been in and been to so many weddings and its those last couple of weeks that turn the nicest brides into bridezillas. I had one bride (I was her BM) who emailed my best friend (her MOH) and basically went off on her because we didnt like her choice in shawls (she wanted us to wear a white rabbit fur shawl..with red dresses??). She apolgized the next day but we knew how stressed out she was and we just let her vent. And this bride was the list queen, she had everything organized and still she just freaked out! ha so we can all prepare for it..but we will prolly freak out the week b4! hahah. I'm already prepared for it. I plan on having a spa day and a yoga session every saturday in Aug 2011 to destress me! ha
