I heard it too on the radio. Some of those aren't too bad...like the dinner thing, but I think it should go both ways.
I love it when I come home to a nice dinner all prepared and ready for me.

We found a book at my grandmothers house after she passed. It was how to be a good wife. It was a full book of this sh*t. I wish I could find it now. Couple things that stick out in my mind is having the children in bed so they don't bother your husband. And being prepared to preform your 'wifely duties' whenever he wants. The thing was just rediculous for our generation

It actually comes from a Home Economics book from the 50's.
It was a time where women where relying on their husband for financial means and support.
Times have changed. Women are now independent. Most couples also now require both incomes to make it financially. If you bring the dough and work 40+ hours... you have a say into the decisions.
