This may be a dumb ? but

Who do you actually invite to the bridal shower? Is it everyone you invited to the wedding or just your close friends/family memembers?

ETA: that 'short list' equaled 50+ people

Usually it is only close friends of the family, cousins, aunts, grandmas, your personal friends.

For FH's side, you should be sure to include people like his mom (obviously) any aunts, female cousins, godmother, grandmas or close friends of his mother.

Note: anyone that is invited to the shower must be invited to the wedding as well, so keep that in mind when people are invited.

I WAS making a list of close family and friends, but when I called FMIL to ask her who of her lady friends she wanted invited, she said everyone!!!!!

we invited my friends, and some close family, then my mom invited some of her firends as well as his mom, invites were at about 50, but i have no clue how many are coming

Usually it is close friends and family, but you can invite as many people as you want if you have that kind of budget. I agree if they are invited to the shower they should be invited to the wedding!

Great, I figured it was the opposite, but needed to make sure. My close friends and family are already invited to both.

For my sister's bridal shower we did close family friends, her friends, his close family members and a few of his mom's friends. About 50 in all.

Everyone invited to the shower must be invited to the wedding. I had close family & friends from MY side...and a few of FMIL's close friends

I gave all of the names of the females that were going to be invited to the wedding. I told my Step Mom to take it from there. I am pretty sure they were all invited- that's like 75 ladies!
