but... regarding gifts for parents- do I handle the gifts for my parents and my fiance' handle the gifts for his parents? My parents are paying for the majority of the wedding... so I'm just curious as I'd like to spoil them a bit more, ya know?

Re: This may be a silly question...
In my case, my parents are also paying a chunk of the wedding, and my FMIL is not paying a dime. I am planning on giving both sets of parents a photo album, but I definitely plan on giving my parents like a dinner gift card or something - they are helping tremendously. So yes, I am giving something a little bit extra to my parents, but I have to handle both sets of gifts because I know for a fact that my FH will look at me and say 'It's our wedding, why do we have to get them gifts?' Lol.

FH and I will probably handle this together. I would suggest giving the same basic gift to both sets of parents, but then personally picking out something additional for your parents to say an extra thank you. If they are paying for the majority of it you probably want to get them something special

I agree, his parents aren't paying a penny and my parents are contributing alot so I plan on getting my parents something more.

Okay cool, thanks, girls! I've already started getting stuff for my parents individually (bracelet for my Mother and Cufflinks for my Father) and together (A nice frame and a day of wedding survival kit haha)... but haven't started on his parent's gifts. So this was definitely helpful and really, ya know what? they are my parents and helping us out ALOT that they deserve to get some extra things and no one should cry about it haha

I figured we'd give them their gifts at the rehearsal dinner.
