I see that a lot of people have E pics that are usually taken close to the wedding...FH and I had a shoot done a year ago for our STD's but the photog only took like 15-20 pics total...Are E pics something different all together that you have to pay for cause I love the way they come out and they are usually done on location at a nice place (ours were done right outside of the studio on the grass)...just curious...Thanks!

it all depends on your photographer and package. epics for us have to be taken no less than 2 months proir to our wedding date. we have a choice to go anywhere within 50 miles of their offices which are on long island and manhattan. we love the idea of engagement photos and we plan to take ours soon!

No question is stupid!!!
I'm not getting E-Pics unless they are in a package and i would be paying for them....i dunno for me, i rather spend the money on something for the wedding.

Ours are being done next month and we paid separate with our photographer and they said it usually 60- 90 photos on cd

We got ours done for our save the dates also. That's what was included in our package.

Our package included engagement pics but only if they were taken at the studio on designated days. If we wanted pics taken on any outside location (anywhere outside the studio), we would have to pay for it.
So we just didn't bother taking e-pics at all.

a guy at my mom's work said he would do our e-pics bc that's what he does on the side, and I asked him if it was too soon to do them (I'm getting married 9-2-11) and he said people usually do it a year - 6 months before!

We got our done about a month after we got engaged because we wanted to use them for our e-party invites..and then our save the dates. But i have seen people do them closer to the wedding. I guess it just depends on what you want them for!
