This may be a stupid question but I need to know...
for you ladies that are having your ceremony adn reception at the same site. Who is doing your ceremony music? Do you contract with your DJ to do the music for the ceremony or does your site offer someone? I need to ask and find that out. But all comments are welcomed. Thanx ladies!!

I personally am not having my ceremony at the reception site but I believe you would contract your dj (or band?) to do that

It's up to you if you want to bring in seperate people do do the ceremony music (like a trio or a harpist) although for me it wasn't worth the expense for the half hour. I contracted with my DJ to do the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception

If you want your DJ to do it, they most likely will charge you extra. If you want to contract someone else, like a harpist, a string quartet, etc. you would have to do that separately, but they are expensive too. All these extra costs will kill us!

My dj threw in either included my ceremony or cocktail hour music in for no additional fee because I booked the entire day. I'm saving a lot on the music.

i've booked my dj but i don't know what i'm doing about the ceremony yet. i may have to go and add that with him too but i'd hate to spend the extra money for a big half hour!

I'm having a DJ for the reception, but I'd like live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. My DJ's husband plays guitar, so we might have him put together a trio to play. But we're not sure how much they're going to charge, so we're still looking.

It's called a CD player.
Honestly, I don't know what to do. A DJ in a small place like that is too much.

My ceremony will be taking place in the gardens of where my reception is. But, the DJ is supplyign music for it as well as CH and reception.
