How exactly does the grooms cake thing work? I want to get FH a grooms cake of either batman or superman (I don't know which one yet, he loves both of them ) but what is supposed to happen? Does the cake just sit there until FH notices it or is it presented as a surprise to FH at the reception by the MC? Like, do they cover it up and blindfold FH and then it's presented to him?? How does it work?

it is usually the cake for the rehearsal dinner

if you do it at the reception i would present it when the wedding cake comes out.

its brought out with the wedding cake and doesn't have to be announced or anything, he'll just see it when they bring it in...traditionally it was given just at weddings and all the single women at the wedding were given a slice of the groomscake to take home with them and then they would put it under their pillow and it was said they would dream of their future husband, its one of those old wives tales

but now its also becoming popular to do it at the RD, its up to you
