This might be a stupid question...

What are my chances of having my Long Island vendors come down to North Carolina for our wedding? We would pay for their travel expenses of course? We really like our vendors. Like I said it might be a stupid question, but I thought I'd ask.

There`s always a chance

While offering to pay their travel expenses is certainly a swing in your favor, it will definitely come down to a matter of whether they have the time to make such a trip without being too much of a drain on them. Some vendors do more than one wedding in a day, otherwise, chances are they may have at least a couple spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If they did consider making the trip, it would certainly depend on their schedules, and whether they might lose any other 'potential' business if they were to make the trip to NC. I know during our wedding planning stages, there were some vendors who spoke of doing weddings out of state .. I think some of the DJs we looked at. So there is a chance.

if you are thinking of relocating your wedding you may want to lose your deposits and get vendors down in NC...I guess it all depends on how much you would lose. try www.ultimatewedding.com they have specific boards for all geographic areas. you can ask people there for vendor recommendations

I agree with Yabbobay. But it might be cheaper to lose deposits then pay for the wedding up here. Not a bad idea to help solve some of your problems.
