DH & I did not both sign many of our contracts. I did not even think about this until now - obviously well after the fact.

*shrug* all of our contracts have statements in them saying that if we happen to cancel, we forfeit the money we've given, but we are not liable for the rest of the payment. I wouldn't sign them otherwise.

although at this point, either FH or my dad has signed them, so I'm in the clear anyway

Actually I know someone that a similar thing happened ~ the couple got married and they took loans ect to pay for the wedding...but when they seperated the wife wanted some money to pay back some of the wedding loans and the hubby said stinks for you...I did not sign so I am not responsible!! so she was left holding the bag on that one...

so far the only thing FH did not sign was for the flowers...I really did not think of it until our DJ contract came in and I noticed I was on it only...
there was one part where his name was present ~ so I just filled his name next to mine on all the pages...

FH and I signed the contract for the reception hall and then we split everything else. I'm doing hte photographer and flowers and he's doing the band and limos.

we both have our names on the contract for the hall!

We've signed only the photog contract together, but my parents have signed the rest!
