this post only for people who love my wiener dog!!!
Many of my buddies from the dachshund lovers' website have a certain stuffed animal dachshund that sings and dances. It was a popular item at holiday time. It was sold at WalMart, but they were never able to keep them in stock. When someone from the site found them for sale, they offered to get them for other people, but no one could ever get enough of them for everyone to have one. I didn't get one until today!!!!!
I have wanted one for myself since the holiday season. Someone posted today that they are now at Walgreens' toy department. I immediately made my parents go with me to find them. I bought 3 of them b/c 2 are gifts. Ya had to see my dad with me at Walgreens, wheeling a shopping cart with 3 stuffed dachshunds.
A $14.95 toy and I am so excited!!!!!! It is called the Low Rider.
Before you see what the Low rider looks like, I must tell you, I once tried to get one on e-bay, but this is what I found when I searched Low Rider![]()

I was hoping to post a video that someone took of her low rider (the dog, not the underwear), singing and dancing. I can't seem to post the video, but here is a picture of a dachshund with a Low Rider:
Mine has a bandana instead of a Santa Hat. They dance and sing the Low Rider song 'All my friends, know the low rider......'
There is even one of them that is being passed around by mail to members of the site and whoever gets him has to take a photo and e-mail it to the moderator and the other people guess where he is. People photograph him either in famous places near home, in parks or right at home. People often get it right based on types of foliage in the area, and knowing where in the country the other members live.
I know, not thrilling to everyone but I have been waiting since X-mas time to get one!!!!!! I had more trouble getting this than I had getting a discontinued wedding veil or getting my tablecloths in from India after they had floods over there!!!!! Maybe you have to see this thing in person or on video to understand--or you have to be a wiener dog freak!
Oscar has already tried to eat all 3 of the Low Riders that I bought.
