This really bugs me...

Some of the people I work with, who have been invited to the wedding, have been asking 'Who`s going?' or 'Who will I be sitting with?' .. and that really bugs me, because these are people who haven`t yet returned their response cards. It makes me feel like they won`t come unless certain other people will be there, or they won`t come unless they know they will definitely know people who are going. And I have heard through the grapevine of people a little intimidated to come because they think they won`t know anyone. What`s funny is, some of these people are married .. so they`ll have someone with them. Plus, how could they think they wouldn`t know anyone? I work for two huge companies, and most of the people who are asking shouldn`t be feeling like they`re the only ones invited from these places, and everyone does know everyone. This really sort of hurts, because I had a hard time narrowing the list from my jobs, and my fiance`s. (He works where I used to work). And now to hear people are hesitant to come because they want to make sure they know people .. I`m beginning to wonder why I agonized so much over these people, and if maybe I left off the people who truly would have liked to be there to celebrate with us. Anyone else out there having (or had) this situation?

This may help...

Kel, i totally understand your dilemma, although i haven't sent my invites out, co workers are already starting to pull this crap. First, ask your cateringt hall , if after your final payment people cancel, will you be credited. At least if these people decide not to come, after you paid , you won't have to foot the bill. ( this has been done, it happened to several of my friends). Secondly, try not to let these people stress you out, its your day, and if they can't be considerate enough of your feelings, then that is just plain selfish! they should feel honored to be a part of your most precious day. Just try to relax and enjoy your day! keep your head up and best of luck to you and your future husband!

What you should tell them....

is 'Well when I get your response card back I will be able to do my table arrangements. Until then,,,,its all up in the air!!' That should give them a clue to return the response card!! :) Good Luck Lisa

This really bugs me...

When people ask you who they will be sitting with or who else they will know you should say something like 'I wont be able to answer that until I get all of my responses back'. Don't agonize over it. Whats done is done. If those people decide to go then you will seat them any way you choose. If they do not come then it is their loss.
