i used to be obsessed with reading every book i could get my hands on. but that stopped a while ago. and now that i want to read again, i miss the good, fun books like babysitter's club any recommendations for a good, light book .. something enjoyable with not too serious of a storyline?

thanks!!

Shopoholic series - there are 3 books
also,
Rachel's Holiday
Last Chance Saloon
Jemima J
Summer Sisters
Good in Bed
Nanny Diaries
Girl with a Pearl Earring

Those are all easy reads - Sorry if I can't remember the authors ... There are not all Pulitzer PrizeWinners but it'll get you back into the groove and they are fun.

I enjoy the following authors:

Mary Higgins Clark
Janet Evanovich
Olivia Goldsmith
Nora Roberts

They are good for a fast easy read

I just started reading, The deflowering of Rhona Lipshitz. It's written by Lisa Lieberman Doctor.

I can't put the book down. It's so funny and really good.

Description:
Rhona Lipshitz of Queens, NY is eleven days away from becoming Mrs. Stuart Martin Weiner. The Temple has been booked, gown have been fitted and beauty parlor appointments have been made. Only one small problem stands in the way of this perfect marriage: Rhona doesn't love Stuie, and she knows she never will.

WTR - I'll have to add that one to my list. I love books set in NYC, especially queens. I like to see if I can imagine where events are taking place

Christine: Definatly check it out.

My dad knows the author (they grew up together) so I knew what neighborhood it was. My dad said reading it brought back flashbacks of the old neighborhood.

It's really a good book and the description of the area and of the ppl is so accurate
