I get all the time from people... 'why are you rushing to book everything... take your time... blah,blah,blah.....' and this was so weird for me, on Tuesday I realized that FI and I have been engaged for 6 months... I was like WOW that went so fast,.....then I counted again and it was actually 7 months! I couldn't believe how fast time has gone by!
So for all the comments made about me rushing HA!
Anyone else ever realize this?

we booked everything so fast too!!
my FH's friend is getting married this july (our best man).. and he was amazed at how much we got done.. we were looking for photographers around the same time!! lol

Everyone made a comment to me too that we were planning everthing too soon, but how many ladies on here have said the vendors they wanted were already booked for next year!!!! better too soon than too late...

everybody says the same to me as well. actaully had a fight w/MOH b/c of it the other day (said I am obsessed with the wedding ). a lot are treating me as if its a crime to be excited or to be organized and plan things in advance my response now is 'I do things my way, u do/did them urs' eff everybody who rains on our parade

I've been engaged since 2007...I booked my hall at the beginning of 2008, so I know how you feel. Now its almost a year away and I have less to worry about since I booked so much- its such a relief!

Just realized it this week. We got engaged Dec 20, and the whole time I was like, 'oh the wedding is a year and a half away........'
Well yea, that half year went real quick.....my one year mark is TOMORROW!

I get the same thing ..... its so annoying because I am very excited about planning everything. Also, vendors are booking up so quickly its crazy. Why not book all the people you want so when it gets closer you are not running around like a chickewn without a head.

Yesterday a florist, who said they can't see me for 6 weeks was like, 'Oh September 2010? You have plenty of time, call me in a couple months'
I veeeerrryyyyyy cooollllyyyy explained that I am working on florists NOW, and will likely have it booked in 6 weeks, no matter how far away my wedding is

anytime any vendor said that to me, i immediatly crossed that vendor off my list- apparently i wasnt important enough for them at the time, so i never would be!

I find it extremely annoying when people say 'oh your booking things now' or 'oh you have so much time' ummmm leave me alone and let me be organized and not feel awkward for booking vendors, or wanting to book vendors, or go dress shopping. i dont care how much time we have, vendors book early, and some dresses take a longer. like are brides supposed to book vendors the month before???? ummm no. ugh sorry, vent over.

I am so glad we are booking everything now... especially since we are getting 2009 prices. EVERYONE I know is being a PITA about our wedding... including our immediate families. It's so annoying and gets hurtful. Why does it matter to them what we are doing for our wedding? Ugh. My parents get annoyed when I talk about the wedding and make fun of me... boooo...

i get so freaking pissed off when i mention booking something or my mom mentions booking something & the other person responds with 'thats along time away, you dont know whats going to happen by then.'
OBVIOUSLY we got engaged for a reason! and unless we effing run away and get married, we cant plan a wedding in 3 months!!!

At the risk of sounding like a biotch, I could care less when people make comments about how I am doing everything so fast. My wedding will be awesome because of all of the planning and research I am doing now. I will also have saved enough money so that it wont be a huge blow to me financially when I have to pay off my vendors.
