This wasn't bad to do right?

My friend asked me today if he was going to be invited with a date to the wedding. He dated this guy for quite a few years; however, they broke up at least partially due to distance.

They still see each other, and I guess when they are together they are dating. We are inviting people with guests even if they are just casually seeing someone...we're not inviting people with guests if they are stone cold single.

I told him he could bring this guy. That was probably the right thing to do here right? I don't want to start making exceptions because you make one exception, then everyone wants one!

Tricky...if that's the only person he's 'seing' then its ok. Plus even if they are on and off. They've been in each other's lives for a long time so it's not like a 'flavor of the week' thing.
I think you did the right thing.

Jen- I have a guest Exactly like that. He has been on and off with this same guy for years. He asked me if he can bring Rob and I told him yes. Its definately the right thing to do!
