I went with FH to AC because he had a boat galla to go to. On the way home FMIl was talking to her sister on the phone. They were discussing the wedding where they were going to stay etc (they are from TX). Anyway... FMIL says to FH and I 'What day is the wedding again?' I was shocked!!!! So yesterday I finally said something to him because there have been several instances that I cracked. And he got upset with me! he told me that there are other things that are going on in their life. BUT there is a lot of things going on in EVERYONE's lives!!! it's not just theirs!!!! This is something happy and something to look forward to! I slept on the couch last night because I was so po'd that he even got upset about it. We have been quite rocky lately and it's making me sad and I don't knwo what to do!
Thanks for reading. Sorry for the rant.

Re: This weekend...
I think maybe you are taking it to hard. People do forget & yes people do have things going on. While of course this is their son & should know the date, you have to remember that everyone is different & not always what you want them to be. Sad but true. I think you should sit down with FH & apologize for getting upset & tell him that sometime you expect to much from people & that you have to remember that most people arent on the same page as you. Just to try to smooth it over because honestly this is not something to fight over! NOT AT ALL!

Re: This weekend...
personally that wouldn't bother me. fh & i both forget the date at times cause we both get so caught up in work, and other events happening before the wedding. maybe you both need a wedding free weekend. when we argue about the wedding we just stop talking about it for a few days cause it does get very stressful.

Re: This weekend...
I didn't want it to be a fight...he took it the total wrong way! I just wanted to bring it to his attention that it's his son's wedding and she should know the date. She hasn't asked anything about the wedding. Which i do find it odd.
It just I guess boggles my mind that he son is getting married and she has absolutely no interest in what is going on.

Re: This weekend...
My own parents asked me a few times, even after I sent them a Save the date. FH parents and entire family are well informed and remember but for some reason mine can't. So I can completely relate.

Re: This weekend...
my parents don't get too involved either cause they don't want to interfere. they know it's my day and they want me to do as i please. they get involved if i ask them to. i'm sure she cares she just may not want to impose. unlike my FMIL who imposes all over the place, you can have her if you'd like.

Re: This weekend...
I totally understand where you're coming from...trust me but It happens to me as well when my own family, and FFIL asks for the date of the wedding....my DAD thought the wedding was this OCT. Anyhow...you're going to have too much going on and you can't let things get to you.
