I had heard he left...my RH used to use Audrey's but since he left the RH has had tons of complaints from brides about Audrey's and when they tried to sort out the problems they felt like nothing was resolved. The RH now recommends The Rolling PIn in Setauket. Not sure how good they are, but I am probably going to use them after I schedule a meeting with them.

Thomas now does sales for bakeries (he is my BM's boyfriend). He no longer works for a bakery.
However he neverrrrrrrr did the baking. Ever.
I understand how knowledgeable he is about cakes, however, he was never the one that actually makes your cake. He simply takes the orders and tells you your options.
They have a separate team of cake bakers/decorators - and that team is the same team of people that have been there for quite some time...

i would have to agree that dortoni in levittown is absolutely fabulous!!! we're getting our cake through black forest in lindenhurst b/c it's part of our hall. but my heart belongs to dortoni

Black forest - lindenhurst benkert's - centereach create a cake - port jeff station
all are owned by the same person. we are using create a cake and they are getting a picture of the specialty cake fh wants from black forest

The same thing happened to me. I had a appointment with him, he designed everything, and then a month before I found out he wasnt there. I ended up using the RH cake instead.

Does Benkert's do groomsmen cakes? My FH is in love with this bakery and it would be great to get him one from there as a suprise.

Dortoni's and La Bonne Boulangerie...owned by the same people. Depends on where you live...La Bonne is in Port jeff
