Thomasvile Furniture

I've read that many girls ordered their Thomasville Furniture from NC. Has anyone had any problems not buying their furniture in person? In NC really that much cheaper?

Thomasville is hard to find in NC. I ordered my Broyhill from NC and it was a complete disaster. Even though it could have happened here, it would have been easier if it was here because then I could have gone to the store to complain rather than playing phone tag. It took over 6 months and 3 deliverys before I received a china cabinet with doors that closed.

Good luck!

I acutally bought my furniture from the Thomasville store and I had a wonderful experience with them. I ordered bedroom ,living room, and dining room furniture from them. All was delivered quickly and great customer service. A part of my 4 poster bed was loose and the shipped me a new poster for free.

Which store? Were you able to make any deals on the price, or was it just the sticker price?

Thanks for the information.

I ordered my Thomasville Furniture from North Carolina but they won't sell the furniture to you unless you've been in the store like a Black's Furniture or Rose Furniture in North Carolina. Those are the two I called and they told me I had to be in the store to purchase any Thomasville Furniture. See link attached..

I just happen to be in North Carolina on a business trip so I actually went to the store. I just had time to sign the book that I was in the store and that was it. I later just ordered my furniture over the phone since they had me in the system as being in the store. Actually it's not that much cheaper though, I would say I saved 10-15%.

Thomasville has internal regulations that is supose to prevent people from purchasing their furniture cheaper from NC. One is that you are suppose to set foot in the store and there is also price fixing that no Thomasville seller is allowed to go below a certain price. I know some places do still do it. They won't charge sales tax so that is one savings (I think you are suppose to deal with that on your own but who does that?). There are also 'loopholes' that allow you to buy from NC....like if you are an existing NC customer. That is what happened to me...I saved a thousands the two times I went with NC for Thomasville furniture. And ordering from NC - I have had my best furniture delivery expereince.

Rose is one vendor and HighPoint Furniture is another - I have used for various furniture purchases.
