Did you invite your priest/officiant to the reception? If so, did you do this ahead of time or the day of? Thank you

No, we arent inviting him because he was hired just to officiate. If he is a family friend...that might have changed things. I offered him to stick around for the outdoor cocktail hour.

We invited our officiant when we sent out our regular invites. We figured it was a nice gesture and wanted to show our appreciation for performing our ceremony. He ended up responding No but he thought it was sweet of us to think of him.

We didn't invite ours either...mainly because he was only hired to perform the service. We'll offer to have him stick around for the cocktail hour..but I doubt he will. I think it's different if you know them..
