It will be Spring so I think it will be pretty! Also, that is the only thing besides bubbles that our church will allow us to do.

bubbles! I bought 4 packs of 24. Some are shaped as wedding cakes, some have butterflies on top and the rest are plain tied with lilac ribbons, the color of my girls dresses.
I am going to put them in a white basket wrapped with tulle and will have someone hand them out.
They look gorgeous in pictures.

Bubbles too! Those of your with rose petals, how you passing them out and if you are putting them in paper cones or something similar does it have to be done that day or the night before. Would love rose petals just don't know if I will have the time to do that.

We are using rose petals to throw at church. I thought I would assign a few baskets to some of the children who will be at church. In the basket would be the loose rose petals and everyone can just gab a hand full to throw. I plan on decorating the basket with some pretty ribbon. As far as the cost of the petals, you should ask your florist to supply those. Usually they will throw them in for free. Florists usually have tons of petals from all of the centerpieces and other arrangements.There are some things that should be kept simple, and for me this is one of them. With only about a month to go I'm rethinking some of my 'grand ideas'.

We're throwing bird seed. I didn't want to do bubbles or the rose petals and FH wanted the traditional thing, so we went with bird seed. We're also just going to have buckets filled with the seed and people will grab it as they go out the doors. My mom told us that this is how it was done many years ago, and we liked the idea and are going with that.

We weren't allowed to 'throw' anything. We ended up getting little silver bells everyone rang as we came out of the Church.

'Wedding Rice' -- it's basically puffed rice in the shape of hearts.

Unlike regular rice, birds can eat it with no problem, it dissolves in the rain, and the puffed heart shape means you can step on it without falling -- plus it's cheap.

many churches dont allow rose petals or rice to be thrown..so you may want to check with your parish to make sure you can so you dont waste your time and money.
