are you getting/did you get your hair and makeup done? i think i might want to only because i cant do hair to save my life, which is why i wear it down and straight everyday of my life.

most definitely! I can't get my make-up done in time because I have too much to do, so I am going to mac next week to get my make-up done for free and then I'll purchase the products...but I'll bring my dress just in case they need to match any colors.
My hair appt. is set! I'm not taking chances there!

mine will not be that fancy (when i finally do have one!) so i am probably just going to do it myself... but if i was having a whole to-do then i would probably get it done.

Hi Ladies, First if you want to do your hair & make -up do it have fun it's your day. Even if the party is not so fancy have fun be the queen of the day.
I have a question for you ladies, did anyone register for the Engagement Party?
My party is on August 2nd my mom is giving it to us. We are only inviting my mothers immediate family, my dad's immediate Fam, & his immediate Fam & close friends & this party is coming out to about 80 guests. I am freaking out lol. My parents are divorced. So there will be three different familys mingling at this party it is scary.
I did not want to register thinking I would get money since it's immediate family they would know. Well my future mother in law dicided to get us an early gift it was silverware.
i did not even register yet & I hate it. My fiance told her yesterday that we wanted to know if we can just exchange it for all silver right now it is silver with gold. She got so upset & we thought we are keeping the same ugly pattern just changing it to one color. I don't know what to do.

I did my own hair and makeup for the eparty...i practied the hair a few days before the party so it didnt take me long to do at all... We did not register for the eparty..that kinda seems tacky (no offense if any of you have), like as if you are asking for gifts, ya know?

No we are not registering, mainly b/c i have no where to put the stuff plus we can't use it until after the wedding. (apparently its bad luck!) Do you know where she got it?

No lol & that is why I did not want to register yet. First we do not have room for this stuff second we need the cash lol. She is a crazy home shopping network shopaholic so I am guessing that is where she got it lol.

we got cash gifts from everyone but his grandma. She gave us a precious moments ceramic cake topper (it's going to be too heavy to use as a cake topper so we might just display it next to the cake or something...) We also did not get any gifts from few people and also got a $25 dollar target gift card....

And, I registered for my party. I wanted to give people the option of bringing gifts if they preferred to do that. I didn't say I was registered though in my invites- I heard that was a no-no.

thanks for the advice ladies, maybe I will register but not say I am & if people decide to give a gift other then cash they can look it up & see I picked some stuff.
