Re: those jordan almonds
it depends the quality.
u can get them at michaels with 40-50% off coupons for diiiiiiiiiiirt cheap like 4$ a bag.. but those are the lowest quality. no1 will notice unless they ar ea fat azz like me. only problem i have with them if when i eat a few in a sitting, my throat gets VERY itchy... but normal people have 1 or 2 and share. so youre best bet is to go there.
if u get your favors professionally wrapped, they include this with their service (which i highly recommend u do)

Re: those jordan almonds
thanks ladies...i think i need more than 5 lbs....i bought like 180 (one for each person) of these little tins from oriental trading, was gonna make candles in em but theyre so small, instead my mom said she'll buy wine bottle stoppers (with a butterfly....sorta my theme!)
so im just gonna fill the tins with almonds now....but i need a sh1tload i think!
'09er crashing - they had really good quality ones at wrap with us in Syosset - relatively inexpensive too.

why is that? is that the 'good luck' thing?
and in that case, is 5 lbs enuf?
ETA! answered my own question....found this on an old post:
Five sugared almonds for each guest to eat To remind us that life is both bitter and sweet. Five wishes for the new husband and wife -- Health, wealth, happiness, children, and a long life!
there are plenty of bulk candy websites you can order from also
I had to get m&ms for favors and I think I got a very good deal on candy.com

Re: those jordan almonds
we used about 12 lbs of almonds for about 180-200 favors with 5 almonds each.
we got almonds from michaels (1lb bag) and wrap w us (5lb box).
we still have a 5lb box we never opened. but wrap w us wont take any food back. willing to sell it for less!!

Re: those jordan almonds
instead of going through the hassle of packaging it myself i am just having the favor place do it. They are charging me $1 extra for each box for 5 jordan almond wrapped in tulle.
