those of you in grad school....

those of you in grad school....

Am I the only one finding it extremely difficult to concentrate on grad school while planning a wedding? Its like the only thing on my mind at all times is this wedding.

I hear ya. I am also selling and buying a house!!!! What was I thinking

I just find that when I put a timeline together it helps me a lot. I know what has to be done when. The more organized I am the less stressed I feel. So far so good. But I also had a total of a year and a half to plan the wedding.

I was in grad school when I planned my wedding but honestly when I think back to the year I spent planning my wedding all I remember is PLANNING my wedding.

I don't know how I graduated with honors.

I'm working and going to grad school. Wedding planning is totally throwing me off track. This gorgeous weather doesn't help either! I need to get going on my papers for the semester...

yep, I'm with you.

Honestly though, I'm so bored with being in school and so lacking in motivation as it is, that I don't know if I'd be able to concentrate on schoolwork without the wedding. I went straight from high school to college to grad school, and I think maybe that was just too much school without a break...

YES, but for me last year--it was my distraction and stress relief! SOOoo I am still on here this year for the same reasons (will be in school awhile, working on a PhD).

yeah i got engaged when i had one month left to go of grad school. wow was i distracted! i couldnt wait to be done with all my papers so that i could spend time looking at wedding stuff.

i was really happy to get engaged and i was really happy to finish my MA, but at the end of it all soo many people didnt notice that i even finished my MA, the engagement overshadowed it.

I'm in the same situations. Next year, I graduate in May and getting married in July. That's why I'm glad I'm talking 1 summer class and then 2 classes each during Fall and Spring next year.
A full time job, 3 classes and wedding planning is just too much for one girl to take in one semester.

I have been so busy with wedding plans and work that I have not been putting that much energy into school. It's bad. I need to stop with the plans and finish up all my work for this semester so I can graduate and be done.

Oh my God yes - this is a very important degree I'm getting - my job is reimbursing me for all school tuitions! I just need to get a B or above - this semester I'm worried - so far I've received all A's.

I also work full time, work on saturdays, some sundays, and 2 nights a week!!!

this year has been extremely tough all the way around...

This is EXACTLY how I feel, working full-time, going to grad school, planning a wedding & looking into places to live. This semester has not been soooo bad with the amount of work I have to do, BUT my professor is a BI*** from hell!! Which makes it just as bad!! I need a break from school.

I just took a *** attitude about school this last semester. I said to myself a 'B' is fine...no need to stress myself to get an 'A'.

yep - but i figure this is probably the last time i am going to school - so i don't need to stress to get A's - as long as I keep a 3.0 im happy

I'm the same way. For undergrad I was obsessed with getting As. Now as long as I get the B I'm happy. I already have my job but teachers are required to get a Masters. How annoying!
